But that's different, I like seeing dirt bikes in their element, on the off road away from traffic, well in dirt so to speak. Again not denying it's fun, just saying I enjoy driving and %90 of the times I cross paths with a biker it's either A in the case of a Harely rider just super annoying and obnoxious or B in the case of a sports bike rider just don't want to be sharing the road with a guy who's family might be suing me for vehicular manslaughter down the road just because the vehicle he rides is much more prone to get him ejected than mine in the case of an auto-accident regardless of the party at fault in reality. I would rather not see people riding bikes at all on the roads and definitely not on highways.

Just the number of times I have been bothered by the obnoxious sounds of sports bikes racing or Harley's making gastro noises make it too many times. If I could erase that from my daily experience I would in a heartbeat, I'm just tired of it that's all. No anger like you mentioned nor rage, just a pipe dream that one day I don't have to deal with either type of bikes on the road nor the sub-cultures that sprout from them it's just a personal POV I find them both very silly. But then again, to each his own.

I just wish every Bike rider really saw through every person's head whom he passes by and see how negative most people think of him he would realize it's neither cool nor attractive, plenty of people would be turned off to it. It's like smoking these days, since we are on the topic of girls and attractiveness. Smoking is fun (I should know I smoked for years before I quit) most girls don't find it attractive and don't think it's a sign that guy is worth committing to, I think bike riding has reached that level these days. You meet that 10/10 commitment grade woman, then she finds out you're obsessed with bike riding, she quickly takes you off her man of her dreams list. But the the 6/10 or 7/10 ladies might just give that R1 obsessed guy a chance.

Then again 10/10 and 6/10 that's just relative to my prespective, my 10/10 might be your 6/10 who knows....and maybe who cares I'm just spamming the spam thread that's what I'm doing on a night like this
no offence but im not going to bother to argue. it has nothing to do with having nothing to loose, its about living.
there is no safety difference between a cruiser and a crotch rocket. it comes down to the rider.
unless you have tried it you just wont understand.

I am one that always wears gear no matter how hot it is outside and when I have a loud exhaust I make sure to be a quiet as I can after 10pm and before 8am (after that I don't care and I apply the same rules to my sound system). The majority of responsible sport bike riders you are not going to see due to them more than likely being out on back roads enjoying what sport bikes are made for, sweeping turns at reasonable speed. The sport bike riders you see wearing nothing but a t shirt, shorts, sunglasses and tennis shoes are referred to as "Squids" and are normally looked upon as stupid and ignorant riders. Cruisers can be known as pirates if they have just all the leather but no helmet.

I know quite a few "geezers" that ride sport bikes (touring and supersport) and will continue until they are unable to do so. I see people that are riding around with no gear as someone with a mid life crisis kinda thing going on but the ones who have at least helmet, jacket, gloves and jeans actually enjoy their hobby and treat it with respect. I'm not going to say I haven't taken the Ninja (god I miss her) to some crazy speeds on the highway but to my credit no one was around me and it was only for a short period of time. not saying that it makes it anymore right but I was smart (to some degree) about it. I prefer to own a sportbike over a cruiser as a personal choice for now, once I'm older that may change but I will never buy a Harley due to they are old technology with a new age price tag. If I want to have that V twin-esc sound I'll get a Ducati

My bike is a toy and a hobby for me and I can't wait to get a new one once the time is right.
hope you get back out there soon. i cant wait for motorcycle season....

Anyone else notice the Toyota Avalon grille is strikingly similar to the 1st Gen CTS?
