Hopefully he's not too bad.. But knowing him there's probably a big issue. He went in with chest pain.
He's also diabetic, which is whayt I thought at first.

Canada free (basic) healthcare means they will go in there and clean everything up for him asap, pull a vain out of his leg and go to work....but they will have him out of the hospital as soon as he's stabil.

If he stubbed his tow he's SOL...rules are steel toe CSA approved shoes..LoL

Rolls I have to ask...why are u awake? I know my work schedule sucks so I have weird hours.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

This guy DaveW87 has me going. He bought a 2004 3.6 with the sport luxury and sunroof, nice car, for $5400 at auction from Wells Fargo Bank at 139,000 miles and has had alot of troubles. He had the front suspension replaced and he had a blown Bose amp. he's up to 142,000 miles. He started off blowing 10 amp ignition fuses until that didn't work anymore, now he's hotwiring it. He's going to try to replace the ignition switch. I suggested he double check the fuse size, but he didn't acknowledge the suggestion, overwhelmed by info overload. He says he doesn't know much about electricity and it shows. Something was blowing the fuse, but he didn't do anything to find out what, he just kept changing the fuse. At any rate, he's effed around and effed around with all the fuses and relays, trying to accomplish I don't know what. Without a basic knowledge of electrical principles and especially without a knowledge of automotive systems, I don't know why he didn't take it to a repair shop. Even experienced mechanics send out their electrical problems if its not their specialty, and a rank amateur is trying to do a specialist's work. I just don't know. I wish him luck, but its looking like a lost cause from peripheral damage he keeps doing.

    ----------

I have always been awake at night, even as a child. I've worked at night when I could.

Sounds like crossed wires or a broken or loose ground. Possibly ignition relay is jammed.
I saw the thread title "long read" so I dint open it...

Ya but u seem to be awake during the day too...
Its 5am here.....man I just want to go home.
I think I need to quit my job...really sick of it.

Sometimes I have to be awake in the day; doctors appointments, that kind of thing, but mostly I'm asleep from dawn to 3pm.

Sometimes I can't sleep because of the pain and I'm lucky to get a couple of hours sleep.

mike, your workmate should be okay, if they got to him early. They can do amazing things these days. My Dad is on his second quadruple bypass . He just turned 87.
Diabetes is common in people with heart problems.
That guy really should change his diet, maybe this will be a wake up call.

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

the 64 is going to go back up in price and the 16 is going to probably stick around the 2-300$ mark
with the new OS being released RIM may actually be able to sell them and hold to their origonal price structure.
RIM is actually on a lot of top 5 and top 10 stocks to buy into right now because its at rock bottom (give or take a dollar) and the canadian government wont let it go belly up. there was talks about it being bought out (partially or fully im not sure) by the canadian government. think about it, what would it cost them to restructure their entire secure email system if RIM is gone? and what does it cost them to keep RIM in business and make money off them... i can guess which one is a better business decision..

aside from that, all or their new software did really good at the demo... i dont know what they called that event where all the phone and tech companies show off their new stuff... blackberry had only software, no new devices.

That was the CES, Consumer Electronics Show. Ya there is a rumour that Samsung is or has bought RIM.
    But no confirm, just denial.
I better grab one before they go back up. I think it will be very handy when travelling.
I heard they are going to G5 on the new ones so they use the cell system .

Re: 24 Hour Random Spam Discussion Thread

ahh ya i heard something about samsung a few weeks ago, but havnet been reading much more on it.

i know theres a lot of hate on blackberry lately because the playbook doesnt have all the apps that the ipad has, but with the new OS, and all the updates its got to be on par, if not better.
one reason i went with the playbook is i can tether to it with my torch for free, i dont need a 2nd monthly fee for data.

im still curious if they are going to release a new playbook with updated hardware and all these good prices are just to clear out stock, but its already a dual core processor, so i dont think they will. and ive seen acer tabs that are 16g going for $200 ish now...so the price is on par with the market.
    Argent1 and Argent1 like this.
