Alexander Graham Bell was late to a meeting. His excuse was that some drunken SOB kept him up all night calling a wrong number. Telephones are an abomination and have done more to destroy collegiality and face to face discussion than any other device.

greatest invention of our generation: the fax machine. revolutionized business far more than email ever could. before fax, important business documents had to be waited on for days in the postal mail. Now, 30 seconds later, document in hand.
btw, just dropping by for my dose of bling.................got it.............................see yas
^^ I hate the fax....well I understand how it revolutionized business. But c'mon, how long has e-mail been out for? A copy of adobe acrobat and a scanner is cheaper than a fax machine and it's so much faster....the technology is archaic and wastes tons of paper....pdf's waste no paper...I say we get with the program.....hell, I even have fax2mail, so all my faxes come in over my e-mail in pdf form.

I agree with everything you said; however, email did not revolutionize the business world because the fax came first. In the business world, email is simply the new and improved fax.
In my industry at least, half the people I deal with do not have email (they must be old codgers like Koz without his savvy ) so fax still rules. I would love to go paperless, but not gonna happen in my lifetime.
A faxed document has no legal standing because it is exactly what it says it is, a facsimile. The courier services are still the only way to go if you need a certified document.
Shoot guys on an average day I will go through 2 phone batteries in my PPC but usually the crackberry can make it as long as I catch a charge somewhere. Roughly 100 emails. This is between meetings and such. I get the bill for my PPC, I average 5,000 minutes a month and roughly 2,000 text msgs. Is it bad I can touch type with my thumbs???
