Black CTS trunk detailed, swirls removed!

I finally recieved my Porter Cable 7424 polisher in the mail today and decided to do a rest run on the trunk to see what results I could get. My car is a 2006 CTS 2.8L, Black on Black. It has some swirls all over and its due for a full detail job.

Here is my process:

1. Wash with Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash/Dry with Megs Microfiber towel
2. Clay with Megs Clay bar and Quick Detailer Spray
3. Tape weatherstripping/rubber/Taillights
4. #80 Speed Glaze X 2 with PC/Remove with MF towel
5. #83 Cleaner/Polisher X 2 with P/C/Remove with MF towel
6. NTX Tec Wax by hand, X 2

It removed about 95% of the swirls, still left some of the heavy scratches but overall I am very pleased, need some time and energy to do the rest of the car.

Great Job!! I have always had Black Rides They look great after the work goes in to them , Now i only by silver always looks great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, my friend has a silver Jag S-Type and that thing always looks clean and shiny, you have to look hard to find a scratch in his paint...

Wow!! When I get back to Ann Arbor in a couple weeks I'm going to have to take that polisher off your hands for a few days.
