1) V shocks & Springs
2) Get the spoiler i've had laying around for like six months put on
3) Get exhaust tips ive had laying around put on
4) Get the R1 Concept Premium Rotors & Brake pads i ordered the day before i had the accident put on.
5) WW clear sidemarkers that ive had for like a month put on.
6) Get the Volant intake i've had for like a month put on.
7) Order a clear Bra and put it on for the v-bumper.
8) And finally STS-V fogs
My question for you guys is how do i make the lights on the STS-Fog not come out yellow ( i think its called the DRL). If im not mistakin i have to buy some type of bulb or kit. Let me know, im looking for someone to post a link to an ebay auction of exactly what i need.
After all this ill be like 95% done with the car.
Thanks! |

If you put in HID (bulb type 9005) in the fog lights, then you will get a nice bright white/blue color. Now, you can certainly keep your old halogen bulbs from you old DRL and put them in the sts-v fog to make the turn signal not orange and at the same time lose the eggyolk effect (orange looking inside of the sts-v lamp). If you still want amber turn signals and DRL, you can get silver coated amber lit bulbs to put in there to remove eggyolk effect. You can also put in amber or white LEDs which will give you the same effect. (keep in mine, you will need 25w load resistors.)
You can also disable the DRL from being on during the day by reading the FAQ at www.cadillacfaq.com . |

If you disable DRL and have the original bulb (not the bulb which comes with the sts-v fogs) in there, there will be no egg yolk effect but you will get a white turn signal. If you keep the amber bulb, you will get eggyolk effect but an amber signal.
It all depends on if you care what color your turn signals are. I personally hate DRL's especially with clear fogs. |

I have Sylvania SilverStar bulbs in my DRL/Front turn signals. Reason is since I have clear WW fog lenses, with these bulbs they look nice threw the lense when off, when they blink tho, they blink street legal amber color. They were something like $10 at PepBoys auto parts near me in Middle Village.
Now u got a couple options here. You arent gonna use WW fogs, u are gonna go with the STS-V ones. You wont see threw it like the clear WW fogs cause the STS-V ones are diffused. You can use the same bulbs I have and im almost positive you wont be able to see them threw the lense tho. Now you can either drive with headlights on all the time so you wont see the ugly DRLs on, or you can disable the DRLs ( http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answe...rl/index.html).
In my fogs I have a 8000k HID kit, to get that nice blue/white color that matches my HID lowbeams.

Trust me it looks bad, I have already tried with mine.
I'm using these suckers in my DRL and they are super-clean: |

I think luv trid to do the white on, amber blinking switch you can get off autolumination but he never got it to work. Personally, I think DRL looks bad on these cars. |

Reason is that since LEDs pull such a low amount of power the car "thinks" the bulb is burnt out and you get that really fast blinking rate. |

I have the DRL disabler and I also have the WW Fogs. The look I want is for the DRL to look clear when not on and when I use the turn signal I want to DRL's to look white also. Next question is if I do go with the clear DRL and have it blink clear is this illegal in IL, Chicago??? |

I suggest getting a pair of Sylvania SilverStar bulbs for front turn signals. They look clean when they are not lit and even when they do blink they actually look nice with clear fogs.

I remember on Club smart Car many people used them because of how smart re-wired the turn signals for Canada on the fortwo (and the forfour test vehicle, which they never sold )
Edit: I just ordered a pair of the front turn signal bulbs in the SilverStar bulbs. $30.45 US including shipping.
Where can I get the clear lens?
