install dvd nav how to need help

hey i was told that it is nearly impossible to install an in dash dvd nav system into my cts so if anyone has done it before or recomends a particular system for the car it would be great thanks!!

I think Jason is talking about a nav unit that raises up out of the front dash like my friend's G35 does.

Do you want to install a OEM NAV in your CTS? That's a piece off cake.

I think what he means by an in-dash nav is one that (like the OEM) is flush with the dash and not a fold out one.

Jason, your best (and easiest) option is to buy an OEM nav off ebay or another forum member. They are pretty easy to install. Aftermarket nav systems, whether they are in dash or fold out require many other modifications and depending on how you do it, you may lose some of the car's functions.

So no, it is not impossible to add an in dash DVD Nav. You can either go with the OEM nav (easy) or an aftermarket (much harder).
