V exhaust with X-Pipe and Magnaflow Mufflers

Remove this ad
Gonna get this by trading my 3.6 exhaust with mebegood. I've never been to happy with the aspects of the stock exhaust. But my question is.... What does the V-exhaust with X-Pipe and and Magnaflow mufflers do? How do the X-Pipe and Magnaflow Mufflers enhance the V-exhaust?

It should flow better as well as flow more noise. The X-Pipe was intense IMO.

On a dyno it added 4HP on a Corvette. Not worth it for the noise. Sold mine cheap to another Member.

Re: V exhaust with X-Pipe and Magnaflow Mufflers

Is the X-pipe illegal in most states? I was telling my buddy who was helping me install the Corsa that I wanted to get an X-pipe, he told me that it's probably illegal, I don't care too much because MN doesn't have Emission testing or anything.

And I know I've received the answer before from Robert but I can't remember and I can't find the thread... does the X-pipe replace the Cats or the Resonator?

(not trying to thread jack at all, just trying to help more people, including myself, with the X-pipe situation)

It is not illegal. It replaces the resonator. Removing CATS is illegal. Remember you can only expect a 4HP gain.

At the most 4hp, corvettes respond to mods better than CTS's. So probably less for us. Oh well, it will hopefully compensate for when I put big wheels on!
