when i hook up the PAC should i hook it up to the wires that go to the factory sub or the ones that come from the head unit?

1999 seville sls non-bose -do anyone happen to know what wires are the speaker wires coming off the amp?im trying to insatll after market amps but i dont want to have to run all new speaker wires ...thanks
