    Service brake assist

    I have a 2006 cts with about 6100 miles on it and last 2 days i keep getting this warning on the display:Service brake assist : and it tells me to push CLR .I also get a TRACTION CONTROL and ABS light come on at the same time.When i shut the car off and start it everything is ok until it happens again.Any ideas.

    I know this is really old.... but what was the problem? I couldn't find it in the manual!

    For me, this was the beginning of the failure of my ABS brake sensor. Replaced it, no more problem. However, as others have noted on the board, there are numerous other causes.

    Check your brake lines,, they tend to rust at least mine did from winter salt. Had all those lights etc and first noticed with gradual increase of stopping distance
