so i got this problem...
my driver's side lock & unlock button is acting up.
As we all know, u push the top of the button to UNLOCK and press on the bottom to LOCK. The top works fine, however, the bottom wont work.
In order to get the car locks to lock from that switch, you gotta push the bottom of it in, (as u normally would) and also press down on the right side of the button.
umm... !?!?!
CHeck out the video attached for a visual of what i'm talking about...
Haha nice video... sadly I can't help with the problem. My guess would be try to get behind the switch (which may include taking off the door panel, I'm not positive with a CTS but seen it done with an Eldo and Deville. You might be able to pop it out from around the handle by unscrewing the screws) you'll probably have to move the mechanism under the button to the left.
ya, i've understood that some ppl on this forum dont read -- i was trying not to laugh to hard while recording it.
aright... anybody got any info to offer? so far, a chick, who doesnt even own caddy (a hyundai) has given more valuable info than the male cts owners! (no offense 2 u nik )
ya wen i visited my dealership to order touch up paint, i shoewd it to the guy who sold me my car. He said i could bring it in when i took my car to get serviced, but... i'd want my car back in my posession asap, not just sitting around a dealer's lot/garage waiting for a mechanic to look at it when he feels like it.
plus, i'm not over 21 and cant drive the loaner they could/would give if my car is there
doesnt the car lock automatically anyway?? so who cares haha, no im jk i dont even remember if it locks automatically , but anyway i have no clue once again, just bring it in and make them fix it haha

explain your situation and need for your vehicle. All my services/warranty issues, have been done on MY TIME, and ON TIME so you dont have to wait around for 10 years not knowing whats up.
They even do the same for my mom when she has to bring it in/and they barely even know her...good people.
