My iPod installation

Hello folks,

here's my iPod setup in my Euro-CTS

I can play movies, pictures and music directly on my audio/video system, thanks to the standard audio/Video IN ports in the Euro-version

I also have an euro CTS and i tried some time ago to play it through those inputs but i didn't liked the sound quality. i tried with an neucleus but it didn't worked at all. Anyway today i tried to look at the tv while i was waiting for my girlfriend and all i was seeing was a black screen, and the menu doesn't want to show up. I saw on another thread that you said to unplug the battery. Will this solve the problem ? And if yes, every other setup will reset ?

Yes, it will solve the problem. But unfortunately the problem will come back. Don't tell the cadillac workshop and get yourself a new system like I did

switch the EQ of the iPod off to get better sound quality. I get a good sound out of it. Make sure your MP3's are also without EQ setting

I don't get it...i took the fuse out it didn't lost it's memory and the tv doesn't work.
I disconnected the + (positive) terminal from the battery let it like that for a few min reconnected it and it was the same.
What should i do ?
Should i leave it disconnected for more time ?

I tried to leave the battery disconnected for a longer period (45 min) and the only thing that got reset was the clock.
Also if it's not on parking the safety interlock message appears and on the right corner it shows what to do : turning the knob to search and using the seek button to seek exactly like on the radio but on the radio it also shows to push the knob for the radio menu and i think it should be the same for the tv.
Please help me because i don't have a real cadillac dealer here, well it is one but just dealer it doesn't have a service and the closest one is 800 km away in Budapest, Hungary.

First you need to be sure you selected the tv function from the main menu. Then, indeed, when you push the turning knob you get a menu. The top side button you can select the aux in when it is in tv mode, or vice versa. When it is in tv mode and you are in park, you should at least get static on your screen. You can search up and down the frequency band, just like with the radio. I hope you have analog tv broadcasting there? Because digital it won't pick up.

I can't think of anything if it doesn't work nor reset.

Well I get static but only noise, the screen is black in it doesn't respond to any comand. Yesterday i disconnected the battery both terminals + and - and i let it like that for 3 hours and no change.
And yes i have 4-5 channels that are broadcasting analog.
Maybe, somehow it will go back to normal.
Anyway thanks for your help.

yeah....I guess so.
I will try at a local dealer and i hope they will solve the problem.
They are not an official dealer but they import Cadillacs and they also have a service.
In Romania there are about 6-7 CTS and i'm sure i'm going to be the first with this problem, but i will try anyway.
This week i don't think that i will have time to go to them but next week i will go.
BTW on audio settings on tv what are your DSP settings ? Because i saw that mine were on talk and i think thats why the sound was so bad when it worked.

I put the DSP on spacious =)
Good luck with the tv! I hope the dealer can help you out! Maybe call them up to have them prepare themselves before you drop by.
