does anyone know if the escalade bumpers are installed just like ours?

i know its a b**ch to access our headlights on the cts, but is it just as difficult, or simpiler, on the escalades?

thanks!

Re: cts & escalade

01-06 or the new 2007 Escalades? I know I can get my dad's escalade apart in less than 5 mins (the headlamps and the grill completely out), bumper seems like it would like another 10-15. The 01-06 escalade's are built so simple, I can have the dash apart in about a minute, try that with the CTS ahah. Well hope this helped!

Btw, do you have a escalade?

Re: cts & escalade

i was gonna buy hid's from this guy, but he advertised he could also install them for extra charge (price depending on how difficult the install would be).

i asked him if he ever worked on my car, he said no, but listed a bunch of cars he has worked on. ... benzes, vw, lexus, escalades, etc.

so i thought, "well, i know its mad hard to get to the headlights on the cts, but maybe GM installed their cars similarly. .. So if he's done a lade, then he shouldnt have a problem with the cts; both same manufacturer..."

Re: cts & escalade

Escalade lights are easy to access. There was a big problem with thieves stealing the HID units because they were so easy to get to.

On most cars, it's easy to install a HID kit. There's no drilling into the housing for wires or anything. But on the CTS, it's a pain in the ass.

I'd like to see that... Seriously...

Removing the bumper, drilling the headlamp housing, sealing it back up, all in 15 mins lol.

I shoulda paid you to do mine. I can't even get the bumper off in 15 mins... It probably takes 5 minutes to remove all those stupid pins.
