Well the god damn dealer just called me and said the car didnt come in today, AGAIN!!!!!!! god damn it i am PISSED THE **** OFF!
so i dont know what the **** is going on but im getting really fed up... heres the story...
I was in the dealer and made the deal on saturday the 14th (left a 500 deposit on my card, wishing I didnt now). He told me that the car would have to be delivered, but will be ready by thursday the 19th earliest or saturday the 21st the LATEST! Then when saturday came and went he said "its looking more like monday, tuesday, wednesday." So I call monday, no car. I call Tues, no car , but he asks me to come in and square away things with my insurance and crap like that. So I went to the dealer yesterday and he told me its def comming in today (the 25th) and ready for tomorrow (thurs. the 26th).
Now he just called and said the car never came, but said that if it comes in the morning, it will still be ready by tomorrow afternoon.
What the hell is this crap? What do u guys think I should do? CAN i do anything, or just sit and be jerked....
My insurance is gonna start tomorrow, and im paying alot for it... I dont want to waste insured time... and hes had a charge on my card for the deposit all this time. UGHHHHHHHH~!!!!!!!!!! |

Wheres my new car? Wow, their sales people are just as screwed up as their service people (which is very hard to do by the way).
Smart move going to North Bay, that's where i go for service.
Sure CITY is just 1 mile away and it's a 30 mile drive on the LIE to get to North Bay, but its defintley worth it. |

Keep your cool and keep your shirt on. Suggest that they owe you some coupons for free washes and oil changes. These things happen.

If you go somehwere else to start the whole process over again, it's just gonna take even longer for you to get a CTS. Just ask the dude to level with you and let you know what the real deal is. As far as the insurance, you can ask him to reimburse you for the cost of insuring your car for each day that you are without the car. Worst case (for him at least) is that you ask for your deposit back, since technically, you still have not "purchased" the car as yet...But I would hold off and just wait a little longer....You shoudl definitley try to get something for your "inconvenience though"...If they are good biz people they should do something for you....Maybe throw in a freebie-something that you never ordered...floor mats, 20inch rims (kidding about the rims), |

Wheres my new car? I think you should go and b!@#h at them. You're paying for a product and they're not following through with their side of the deal. That's called stealing where I come from. I can tell you this, you will get a lot more out of going to them in person and b!@#hing than you would if you just called them up. That's because they know they don't want you to leave unhappy, because then they might loose a sale and some ratings. Whereas on the phone it's fairly easy to tell you what you want to hear and get you off the phone so they can run you through the loop one more time. |

Was the car actually ordered or found on a locate matching your specs, and being transferred in from another dealer? If it's the latter, it's all up to the dealer when it gets there, but if it was a fresh factory order, they really have no control over when it comes--they can only tell you what status it's in, if it's been shipped, etc.
Still should be more accurate either way, though. |

Still should be more accurate either way, though. | Not sure exactly... I checked Cadillacs website for inventories and I saw that this dealer had the car I wanted in stock. So I called up he said, "yeaaaa, i have one of them in stock. Very nice car... I will have to have it delivered here tho... blah blah." Then he proceeded to give me the bullsh!t time line thatI posted in my original post up there ^
I will be sure to ask tomorrow if need be. Hopefully the car is there first thing in the morn and i can still pick up at 3-4pm as we agreed upon.
If not... There is gonna be a high speed fan with a whole load of sh!t thrown at it in that place. |

I don't get why your insurance starts though? how can it start when you don't have physical possession of the car? vin # etc... I think your in a pickle... normally you give your insurance info to the dealer, and they call and have it arranged right before you pick up the car so your set to roll, not days ahead a time... |

The car is supposed to be picked up tomorrow by me. My insurance has been purchased and will go into effect at 12:00am in the morning 4/26/07. Reason being is the dealer thought it would be a good idea that when I goto pick it up, I can hand him my credit card, put the charge on it, he gives me keys, I drive away.
But now that might not happen cause his promise that the car will be ready tomorrow is in jeopardy. But again, if the car gets there first thing tomorrow, he said it will still be ready. *crosses fingers* |
