Is cutting an v exhaust possible (for shipping) or is the intact exhaust the only way to go. I fount the below string that talked about installing but im asking if anyone has set a standard position to cut an exhaust to reinstall later or am i asking for more trouble than its worth? Or is this a normal occurance and can point me in the right direction. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...hlight=exhaust

I want a v exhaust cut and only want the mufflers myself. Should be doable but would cost more on install. |

Maybe you could cut at the front of the resonator, the back of the resonator, and before the mufflers? I am no expert on such things, hopefully this photo helps. That might make the package small enough to ship.
Keep in mind, the exhaust is 13' long and 5' wide as a single assembly. It's a huge, huge part! I doubt the cost to cut it up and then ship it works out in the end, but I wish you the best of luck and hope this helps. |

Sorry to disappoint or bum you out, shipping the V-exhaust is just big undertaking. Your time is better spent looking for one in your area. |
