I would like to send him a letter regarding the poor quality of his products.
I have purchased a 2005 CTS, and been to the dealer 6 times with various front end issues. The dealer even replaced the all the front end components the 4th time and still I have had issues 2 additional times. I have also had various electrical issues witrh the fromt driver side power seat motor not working at random times and the front turn signals, hazard lights flashing when trying to use the right turn signal. Both issues have not occured when the dealer had the car.
The customer service department (800 number) is useless.
Any help with this matter will be appreciated. |

Any help with this matter will be appreciated. | There is a section on this forum entitled "Open letters to Corporate" or something similar to that.
Before doing that, however, I would do the following, some of which you obviously have done.
1. Work with svc mgr.
2. Work with dealership owner.
3. Escalate to region.
Need to go thru channels.
4. I do not know the chain of command above region, but following the chain of command will hopefully keep you from unnecessarily bumped around. As you proceed up the chain, ask for the NEXT STEP in the process.
5. After you go thru these steps, and if you get no response or unsatisfactory responses, then consider what you need to do to engage the lemon law.
I could be wrong, as I have not done this, but just my 2 cents.

The dealersip was telling me they wouldn't cover certain things & that since they could recreate some of the problems, they wouldn't replace the part. But a day after talking to Customer Care the dealership called & said they decided to go ahead and cover everything since I had such a hard time with the car. |

I've had no issues with mine and I have a very good dealership to deal with as well. |

I have had my CTS for 9 months and I just got my car back from its 5th trip to the shop and it still isn't right. I would give GM an occasional lemon, but just go on ebay and see the hundreds of CTS's on there with very low miles and the facts speak for themselves. I think there's a lot more lemons out there than Cadillac owners would like to admit. GM isn't bankrupt because of the fantastic reliable vehicles they churn out. They are bankrupt because most of their products aren't worth their weight in steel.
BUT, as a patriotic Desert Storm veteran, I stick with GM and will continue to do so. That's my duty as an American, even if that means my local GM mechanics drive my CTS more than I do. I just refuse to go Japanese. |

You might feel better but nothing will be achieved.
Oh and GM is going bankrupt because of the evils of Union Labor. Guys on an assembly line making around $100k???????????
It's just a ploy to move production to mexico.

I bought mine from scholtz cadillac on central ave. White Plains
Thankfully I got an extended warranty, the ac compressor took a sh!t right after I bought it, and the salesperson wouldn't return my call so I could meet him and put my shoe up his ass |

You would be hard pressed to find any CTS's on the used car lots around here... | Consumer Reports recommends the CTS as a model. Interestingly, this is the first year where my 2003 CTS didn't make the "most unreliable" list. They now recommend all CTS models. They are excited about the 2008 redesign.
There were some interesting conclusions in CR's last auto edition. The most suprising to me was that CR doesn't recommended a single Mercedes-Benz model because of incredible reliability issues. While Honda and Subaru had 100% recommendation rates for their models, Mercedes had 0%. GM had 36%. They stated that rating a car by the automaker generally is not a good idea, but you need to watch out for the 2 least reliable brands on the road today: Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover.
Top 5 brands from 1-5: Toyota, Honda, Scion, Acura, Lexus
Bottom 5 brands from 36-31: Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Hummer, Jaguar, Jeep
Unfortunately, Cadillac rates #30 among all makes compared. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
