New development in clunking noise

I took my 06 6spd to the shop to have them give my car the warranty once over because of the clunking noise I thought was the diff. They have replaced the pinion seal twice for me not solving any problem but the leak. Well, today they tell me that the clunking is not the Diff, but the U joint on the drive shaft. Part is backordered so we will see if the clunking stops. Just FYI for anyone who has a clunking noise thinking its the diff.

Only clunking I hear is when a have a couple of bodies in trunk.

In the (old) days of all rear-wheel drive cars, "clunking" was almost always a universal. I've changed dozens of them.
