My first Mods

Well i've done it, my first mod and it feels good. I added a Sirius Universal kit and and IPOD connection to stock Bose unit.

I had a custom plate made to replace the Ashtray and it came out Great. I also didn't want to lose the power connection so I had it moved to the center console. I also added a IPOD connecion, and a/b switch and an fm Modulator. I plan to upgrade my amp and add a sub soon and remove the FM modulator, but it serves it purpose now and it all came out well.

I ordered a V Grille from gmparts.com and I hope to install that soon. I have a White Diamond 03, and I'm thinking of powercoating the mesh black, maybe painting it black. I don't know much about powdercoating and I'm concerned about durability. But I've seen some other CTS's on this forum that have the black grilles and rims, and I think I am going for that look.

Then the Sport Wing, the the Sub/amp/speakers, and then ...

I'm having a great time seeing all the things I can do.

The unit is a Starbase Universal around $200, works with any OEM radio through FM Modulation.
The Ashtray plate is a custom job from a local installer Paradyme Car Audio $100.
The IPOD connector is a PXP01 from Peripheral $45
An FM Modulator Audiovox FMM100A $40
SS2P RCA Switcher (to switch from IPOD to Sirius) $90

And that's it...
