Just got picked for Winged Warrior!!!

I just found out I got picked as a driver for Winged Warrior III!!! I signed up a couple of months ago kind of as a joke after hearing about it here on the forums, but never really thought I'd get picked. So yeah, if anyone is going to be in the Indianapolis area on May 12th, be sure to drop by ORP to cheer for Team USA!

Yeah, thats it. I actually made the words "winged warrior" in my original post a link to the site but apparently nobody clicked on that. Oh well.

Yeah, I'll be driving my 03 CTS. I'll be in class F, but they havent updated the teams list to show me yet.

Winged Warrior is a charity race to benefit Riley Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis IN. It takes place at O'Reilly Raceway Park (formally Indianapolis Raceway Park) on May 12th. Anyone could register for it and then they picked 130 cars to form two teams (imports vs. domestics). Everyone will get 3 runs around an autocross course and 5 runs down the dragstrip. Each drivers best time scores points for thier team, and the team with the most points wins bragging rights. Drivers are also competing for individual awards against the drivers in their class on the other team. Its mostly a "just for fun while raising money for the kids" type of event, but it was still exciting to get in (I didnt get picked the first time around, but someone had to back out so I was chosen to fill their spot).

Sounds like fun. Be sure to embarrass the imports!
