I guess it works. Theoretically I think your braking power is less than stock. Not to mention I think it looks silly when you have huge wheels and a tiny rotor. |

|  | Cadillac Owners Enthusiast Cadillac(s): 03 CTS | | Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: CT Age: 25 | | | Re: Do larger wheels require different brakes? the brakes are fine, most people do go the drilled/slotted route though for looks behind the wheel, not just looks though, some pretty nice stopping power, also painted calipers would top it all off, there was a pretty descent article robert produced in a snoops thread about time for brakes saying bigger isnt always better, and that drilled rotors are not that practical as they may crack under enough stress, the article suggested simply slotted rotors as your best overall choice
by no means am i an expert on this subject, but no its not like your car is just gonna keep going because you slapped some 20's on there |

I only put on 20's with six spoke split pattern..........they didnt feel any heavier than my stock tires when i picked them up.......braking seems fine.....and i would never try to go from 100-0. |

Have you noticed as Detroit increases wheel sizes they also increase rotor sizes? The rotating mass of the 20" wheels sets out farther. That's why you loose some HP and Braking. Sure the OEM brakes will stop you but not as fast. |
