New to this forum, and still new to forums in general. (1st post ever) So go easy on me... But has anybody changed out their headunit for an aftermarket nav. unit?
I'm looking at the Pioneer AVIC-D3. Sick unit, touch sceen DVD/GPS with integrated ipod, and optional blue-tooth and back up camera.
I have searched around a bit, but can't seem to find out too much about the install to a Cadillac. I know it's definitely not a DIY job, but wanted to see pics if anybody else had aftermarket navigation installed.
Located in So. Cal,, so if anybody has a recommendation on a good audio shop would appreciate it too. |

**edit heres the procedure so you dont have to go rummaging around 2 new sites at once... http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answe...dic/index.html

Currently I have no navigation,...... aftermarket had more features that I wanted (ex. touchscreen).
Rblimas...I'm in the LA area. Isn't the z-1 $800 more and only have preloaded GPS, and I don't think it has the IPod adapter yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.
How much can I expect for install? Don't mind the cost, just don't want a chop job. Have checked a few places in my immediate area, but don't have experience with them. WOuld prefer to go to an installer that's done at least one before. |

i want the z2 now
by the way i am not that familiar with LA but if you go to the escalade forums you might find someone that will install it |
