Who has gotten a ticket for tinted windows

I live in Augusta, GA, and I've never gotten pulled over/ticketed for my window tint. I've been pulled over for speeding and my tint wasn't even mentioned (I have 15% all the way around). Now on my 1987 Sedan Deville, I had 5% tint all the way around, and I got pulled over in Minniapolis, MN at 6:30am on the interstate. I was going the speed limit, getting passed like I was standing still, and I got pulled over for my tint... Luckily I was in uniform and he let me off.

my state seems to pretty forgiving with tint, i had a black on black jetta with 5 percent all the way around, bllllaaacccckkkeed out and never a word about it, my cts is nowhere near that dark so im not sweating it a bit.

i have a feeling if i do tints (which i want to) i'm gonna get pulled over CONSTANTLY... cops here are prissy, they're def. full of themselves b/c of where they live and are choking on the power to write a ticket...
cops in this small town are crazy... dont come thru jersey w/ tints ppl!

that bad huh, i went through jersey a couple times with that jetta no prob but then again never off the freeway, but hey kid you never know, cuz trust me almost EVERYWHERE in CT is prissy lol waiting on every corner to give ya a ticket and like i said never a word.

Here you don't neccessarily get a ticket. You get a single edge razor blade and you don't move until the tints off. If you mouth off, then comes the ticket. The ticket is $160+ and the guy that put it on coughs up another $160+.

Yep, I'm with the 359th TTSB. Hopefully next Friday I leave for Airborne school at Ft. Bragg, and then back to Ft. Gordon for 40 weeks for 25S school.

In new york, it's illegal to vandalize property even if it's a cop doing the vandalizing. rules and freedom must be different in fairbanks.
anyway, i have been pulled over 3 times for tint, but i had 5% on my last car. one time, the cop pulled over an older woman and me at the same time. she ran a stop sign, but was let go. I was pulled over and given a ticket for tint. makes you wonder what's more dangerous: dark tint or a real traffic violation.

must be an alaska thing...ive never heard of the tinter getting a ticket for someone elses tint.

The problem is that if the cop lets you back on the road with the tint and you get in an accident it's on him. The alternative is the ticket and an impound. Your choice.

In new york, the tinter makes you sign a waiver making them disclose how tint is illegal and they're not responsible.

well i guess if its just overall illegal to have any tint, you shouldnt be providing the service, that must be horrible koz with the sun gleaming off the snow and everything, but theres always a quick fix....
