That's because maybe he is NOT or no longer is in bankruptcy...The sherriff or whoever gave you the info is relying on old info....let me post this carefully so I don't get sued for defamation....I did some research on Westlaw and According to the US Bankruptcy Court District of Maryland (Baltimore), not me, I'm simply reciting the public information available to everyone, there WAS a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing in June of 2001 under the name Peter Joseph Raimondi Sr. I have the filing number, attorney's name, trustee etc and it all relates to a bankruptcy filing in 2001. I don't know if it is the same person who owns CMS and I am not stating that it is the same person.

Hmmm..Pete's Formal name is Pietro Raimondi, not Peter. Anybody Google the name?

My dad was old school. As far as he was concerned there was no reason good enough to declare bankruptcy. Back in the day, bankruptcy had the same stigma attached as grand larceny or embezzlement.

Wow. Are all bankruptcies in all states public record? I almost declared back in '97 but decided to pay everything. It took me 5 years, but I did it...

All bankruptcy filings are "public records". But not every member of the public would know where to find the information. Most attorneys have access to either databases that have this information or to the bankruptcy court's centralized electronic filing databases.

By the way, it doesn't look like Matt has posted since April, 2007. I wonder if he ever got his money back....
