Need advice for uprgading my CTS

Remove this ad
Just took over payments on a 2005 3.6 CTS, Im not sure if its the sport or the luxury. It has the 17's, two tone leather and everything minus sunroof and GPS. So I am looking to put a staggered 19 x 8.5 in front and 19x 9.5 in the back and a set of springs.I need your advice... Will it rub with a 9.5 in the back will it sit flush with the proper offset? And which is the best spring? I hear alot about Eibach but im not sure if 1.2" will give me the look i want. I hear that there is a model that is difficult to lower the back , any idea of which one and what to do ? Is a 1.7" drop with 19's too much? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Need advice for uprgading my CTS

Congrats on your new caddy. Upload some pics! First off you're gonna need a new grill ... most of us are doing the CTS-V mesh grill which looks really good. And post some pics of the wheels you have in mind, seems like its gonna look sick!

Re: Need advice for uprgading my CTS

What do you think about a black rim with a polished lip on the Gray CTS?

Re: Need advice for uprgading my CTS

i say go with 20's you get to choose from more rims(not to many rims in 19's) and 19X9.5 will rub!

Re: Need advice for uprgading my CTS

check your parts list which is on the cover for your spare tire in your trunk, (open it up and look opn the back of it) tell us what FE you have and well tell you if youll have a problem lowering it, eibachs are just fine IMO 1.2 doesnt seem like to much but i only have 18's with the eibach pro kit drop and its looks just fine, and your looking at 19's so thats even more to fill the gap
