Re: Anyone know about FE5 suspension

I also have FE5 this may describe it what each offers

In addition to the base suspension packages, three optional suspension packages are available. They include an optional FE3 Sport Suspension, an FE4 Ride and Handling Package and FE5 Ride, Handling and Performance package.

Re: Anyone know about FE5 suspension

The only ones I'm aware of are the FE2, FE3, FE4 & FG2. The last 2 are CTS-V struts and springs.

Re: Anyone know about FE5 suspension

I don't know much about FE5 other than it's the newer performance suspension stuff ('06 and up). I have no idea if they're Nivomats or normal sport shocks (like the FE2's), although with HID's they're most likely self leveling nivomats. The FE numbers are the RPO codes. The part numbers will be on a sticker on the actual shock (10 or 11 digits).

The next time you're under the car, take a look at the shock labels. They should be large yellow stickers with a bunch of writing on them and part numbers. Note the part number AND the color of the surrounding stripe. FE3's have a blue stripe. I believe FE1's have green. FE4's have purple, and FG2's (these are both CTS-V self leveling nivomat shocks) have purple and black stripes.

It would be interesting to look them up and see what they actually are.

BTW, the G80 option is da bomb. I wish I had it (not offered in '03).
