sup everyone. ok now my car on the rear windsheild has some adhesive on it from the previous owners tint job that had been removed prior to my purchase. now i tried removing some and got half the rear window cleaned up by using industrial strength acetone and some good ol' elbow grease. Does any one who deals with this stuff have any tips/ideas/methods to make this adhesive removal easier? i am getting my car tinted next week and i wanted to have my windows spotless so my tinter doesnt have an excuse for phuckin my windows up and i would also like to feel like my arm is not being dragged behind me from all the strenuous activity. thanks for future input!

Just a tip. Make sure you dont mess up your heat line thingys. Its really easy to wreck them if you remove tint off the rear windshield.

I've never tried to remove tint adhesive, but I've used a product called GOO GONE that promises to remove grease, gum, crayon, stickers, tape, etc. It has easilyremoved all sorts of old (and sometimes dried) adhesives for me. It's thinner than water, and you need to wash the window when you're done. Like chicken soup for a broken leg - might not help, but it can't hurt - try it.

Google is your friend. Do a search on "removing auto tint" and you'll have enough hints to last a lifetime.
