I agree with Robert, you need to properly bed the pads. Did you cut cut your rotors or get new ones? When installing new pads you should at the least cut the rotors or get new ones if your originals are too thin. |

I'd take'em back! That's not normal. Not a peep from my Hawk Ceramics. Hawk taunts their ceramics for their quietness. Maybe some debris between the pad and rotor?

Ya I went back to the shop and they said sometimes with performance rotors they squeek. I havn't heard of this but the guys told me to put a few more miles on them and see if they go away. I have about 100 miles so far.

He just BSing me? | The Ceramics are not Hawk's performance pads. The design is to reduce brake dust, reduce noise and last long. That info can be found at www.thetirerack.com.
100 mile should have bedded your brakes if you did it properly. |

That possible? | Did you properly bed the pads or not?!? Are you familiar with what that means? (not trying to be a smart ass!) You have to do several abrupt slows inorder for the pads to bed. If you didn't do this, that's the reason your breaks are squeaking.
Check out the FAQs at the Hawk site.... http://www.hawkperformance.com/motorsports/faqs.php#Q6 |

Check out the FAQs at the Hawk site.... http://www.hawkperformance.com/motorsports/faqs.php#Q6 | I have done a few hard stops on them but not exaclty as it says on this site guess I should try that and see what happens. |
