    V vs. GTO 6.0

I got to play with a GTO 6.0 on the FWY yesterday! Speedy car that GTO, the V pulled a little on the GTO, clear out to 130 something we ran. The spankin' new GTO still had the dealer plastic plates on it.

The look on the drivers face was classic. followed by

The gut was really shocked! That makes it so much more fun!

    That LS2 GTO scoots.

A friend of mine has just bought a 05 red V, he is still ga ga over the power and the fun.... He bought it instead of a 2003 Z06. He doesn't regret a thing!

    LS6, yup! 400 hp 5.7L...

The LS6 runs better than the LS2 in real world power.... In all the acceleration tests GTO vs CTS-V, the -V is 0.4-0.6 seconds faster down the quarter mile.

Starting from 60mph+ past double that the V pulled a bit on the GTO, but not much. I've never run with one from a dig. Fun stuff though, the look on the guys face was classic.

    Pounded by Grampa's car!

    Ouch!

    Re: V vs. GTO 6.0

A friend of mine with his new (8K mile 05 V) said he went to a track and ran a 12.9 in the quarter. I haven't seen timeslips to verify..... Is this ballpark?
