I'd like to see Pontiac offer a small car that isnt a rebadged Cobalt (Pursuit).
When my Continental died roughly 2 years ago I went out and test drove an ION Quad Coupe...well, I tried anyways. I got in, put the seat all the way back until it was inches from the back seat, to which the sales rep said there was plenty of room still in the back seat then I noticed that my knees were slamming into the steering wheel. Any movement would throw my knees into the console. I didn't see the point of keeping interest in a car which I couldn't sit in.

So then I got out and left. Awful interior on an otherwise decent looking vehicle. Then a week later I bought a Cadillac for $12,000 less lol.

How about the Chevy Cobalt SS? Not quite as powerful as the SRT-4, but it is definately the better looking of the two...

The Dodge SRT-4 supplies more horsepower and torque for a few hundred bucks less, but it's a rough-and-tumble street fighter. The Cobalt SS SuperCharged trades on its refined civility, two words we don't normally associate with a GM economy car.

I agree that the Cobalt SS is a nice looking car...from those angles anyways. The other pictures I've seen (from other angles) didn't really catch my attention. I'm gonna go ahead and say that I'm not liking the red. I couldn't ever drive a sporty red coupe. I have too much pride in being a male lol.

First off the spoiler on that thing has to go. Second off I don't like the fact that the cheapest Chevy is going to be able to beat my ETC. I'm putting on flows and nitrous the day I see one.

I remember the same thing said back in 1987 of the Grand National. the tv announcer said "What gives Buick the right to build a car faster than the Corvette?" I've never forgot that.

Anyway, I looked at the Cobalts today and I like them, but I'm not sure I like the front end. The interiors look good, and the dash layout seems more expensive looking than the old Cavalier.

I heard that next year the replacement is out for the Dodge SX, (or this year?) so what's going to happen to the SRT-4?

The next SRT-4 is supposed to be a shared platform with the Evo. But at this point this is just rumors

Good god. That makes the Charger look like... something not ugly as sin.

Yeah, I remember something about Buick having to underrate their turbo V6 to keep it from having the same power level as the Vette motor. That's just dumb..

Well I'm not too mad about a Chevy SS being able to beat my 10 year old Luxury car now that I think about it - I'm just gonna be mad if some guy pulls up next to me with whiney rock blaring and hat on backwards and proceeds to smoke me. That will have to be prevented even at the risk of head gaskets - nitrous as soon as I can put away enough money to buy a timesert kit too should the need arise.

You could replace the Neon with this...

...and it would still be an improvement.

Okay, I'm being a LITTLE unfair.

So much for a cheap Neon replacement. It will probably cost twice as much.
