    GS300 Looks Very Competitive

Just saw some reviews fo the GS300 and was very impressed with the base price of $42,900.
A almost loaded CTS is about that price and to my eye the GS300 offers a lot more than the CTS does.
Especially in interior room and quality.

    Re: GS300 Looks Very Competitive

We had another thread about this car a short while ago. I read that it was a great car, and I'm pretty sure my father-in-law is going to buy one soon. I saw one at the Phila. auto show, and at our local dealer a couple weeks ago and it looked real nice.

That does sound like a CTS competitor.

Take a look at lexus.com. The instrumentation is stunning.

I'm still glad I have a CTS though.

I like the exterior styling of the CTS much better.

    I have no regrets.

I'm sure it drives like a million bucks, but why, oh why can't Lexus design a car that doesn't look as if it weighs about 40,000 pounds? Why are all their cars so obese and flabby looking??

    Re: GS300 Looks Very Competitive

I was going to buy the CTS w/1SC package and AT. I acutally told the Cadillac salesperson to find one for me and if was the right color combination I will take it. Then after leaving the Cadillac dealers and driving by the Lexus dealer I saw a used 2004 GS300 Black/Black with Navigation and all the options with only 15,000 miles on it. I took it for a ride and fell in love with it within minutes. Well I bought it and I am still loving it. Lexus makes a great car.

I liked it better when Lexus was ripping off DaimlerBenz. Their attempts at uniqueness have resulted in some of the most hideous cars on the road.

Many of these new designs are "like 'em or hate 'em". Many people didn't like the new Cadillac design either, including me - but it grew on me. Same goes for BMW.

Kinda like White Castle. I like this new GS, the syling has grown quite a bit on me. Lexus' website, by the way, is very nice. I like the movies they have for each vehicle, especially the ones for the GS.

I think Lexus has nothing on Cadillac when it come to producing cars with "polarizing" designs. Matter of fact, I'm not sure I know ANY OEM that does.

All your comments are hate Lexus comments, it is VERY obvious. You sound like the typical 8 year old fanboy.

You can say what you want about the design, the cars are complete packages and low weight is just as important as luxury or power. The GS is near lightest in class, only 40lbs more than the last version, 3745 lbs
