    Escalade vs. Chrystler 300C

This is a recent point of debate on Cadillac and Chrystler forums, because of an article in USA Today citing the 300C as "the new Escalade." Some are calling the Escalade's styling old and tired when compared to the Lade, implying the 300C is the new bad boy on the block and saying it's time for the Lade's re-design.

I don't see the sense in it but if they must compare the 300C to the Escalade, I submit it is the poor mans' Lade. The 300C's styling is OK IMO, but the base model (22k) lacks something to be desired. I'm already seeing a large number of these cars in my area. People are buying the base car and adding tint and 20 inch wheels to them to "bling them out." I believe in the long run the 300C is destined to be the next PT Cruiser. Chrystler's reputation for less than outstanding reliability will also hurt them (IMO).

    Re: Escalade vs. Chrystler 300C

This is an even worse comparo than the Cadillac Vs. Honda thread.

They are nothing alike and I can't imagine anyone looking at one of these cross-shopping the other.

I would probably go with the 300C, but that's only because I prefer sedans over trucks...

    Re: Escalade vs. Chrystler 300C

It is pointless, however it is necessary to compare them because many people feel the 300 is the ultimate bling vehicle. If the 300 had 50 more years of heritage, combine that with prestige, then we'll talk about true comparison.

    I vote Escalade.

This is funny. The only caddy that compares to the 300 is the deville.

    Re: Escalade vs. Chrystler 300C

Well the Escalade has faded out now as the "big" thing till they redesign it in 2006 now. Now the "big thing" is the 300c. Thats how they compare, if you just shopping for the best most popular vehicle.
