the new ferrari f430 modena (56k killer)

Maranello, 24 August – The F430 signals the arrival of a brand new generation of Ferrari 8-cylinder models. This new car takes Ferrari’s extraordinary achievements with aluminium technology, begun with the 360 Modena, to a whole new level, and offers a series of extremely significant innovations directly derived from the Ferrari Formula 1 single-seaters.
Two of these innovations are world firsts for production cars: the electronic differential (E-Diff) and the steering wheel-mounted switch (better known to the Formula 1 Scuderia’s drivers as “manettino”), which manages the integrated systems governing vehicle dynamics.

The other main characteristics of the new F430 are its light, compact 4,300 cc 90° V8 engine, which punches out 490 hp to achieve a specific output of 114 hp/litre, also providing the new Ferrari berlinetta with a weight-to-power ratio of 2.8 kg/hp (dry weight); a braking system with carbon-ceramic discs for optimal efficiency under extreme use (optional); a Formula 1-derived gearbox that cuts gear shifting times down to 150 milliseconds allowing the driver to make the very most of this truly high performance car (0-62 mph acceleration in 4 seconds flat, a top speed in excess of 196 mph); and an aerodynamic design that embodies the very latest competition technologies, specifically the flat underbody and large rear diffuser to increase downforce.

The car will be officially presented during the Paris Motor show in September 2004.

Im going to have to call bs on this one, sence when has any farrari been under 200k. This car is way to nice to be in that price range, would hurt the farrari image to make such a low cost car. Now maybe a 2 or 3 was missing from the title. Damn nice car though

all of the F360s (the 360 Modena, 360 Spider, etc...) are well under 200k, and every old 3series Ferrari is relatively cheap. i don't see how they can hurt themselves.

I was wrong Ferraris are cheap,

    This 01 is 239k
    http://www.ferrari-forsale.com/360Mo...er2001-ForSale

Here is a 1998 F355 for 70,000 pounds, so thats pretty cheap for an old one.
    http://www.ferrari-forsale.com/F355F1Berlinetta-ForSale

But then again you can get this 03 360 modena for 209k
    http://www.ferrari-forsale.com/360Mo...r-2003-ForSale

There are pleny more 360's on the site but none under 200k, but im sure you can find one out there somewhere. Sing as this car is F430 I would assume it would be in the price range above the 360.

Ferrari wont have its price hurt by there cars depreciateing, but they will lose there exclusivness to have a 56k car thats new. Lamborghini has a new car thats alittle under 200k its the Gallardo, and their higher end model the Murcielago is just sub 300k while ferrari's highest end model is 1.3 million.
