    Re: V vs IS350

    Is it just me or is anyone else tired of guys asking us for advice. "Convince me to buy a V", "Should I buy a V?", "V or is350?" V or this V or that...come on! If you want one get one. To paraphrase a line from Tony..."you are retarded if you need reassurance from strangers online to buy a car". Test drive them both and make up your effing mind! Are you not man enough to make a decision yourself???
    Maybe I'm the only one who sees it this way?

    AMEN,
    I've really had enough of this.
    To make it worst they're always chosing b/t the V and an import. Have a real convo about two american muscle cars, then maybe we'll entertain the chat.

    Moderators could we make a sticky for folks that need convincing, counselling, or a hug? Give these folks a place to resort too.

    Re: V vs IS350

    I drove both and decided on the V. The Is350 is EXTREMELY refined and well built...it's just a little too...tame. If they offered it with a manual, then I would reconsider it again. The 335i is in it's first year and I expect revisions soon what with all the oil temp problems BMW has been having. That car does split the difference between the V and the IS. The V is def in your face, 85% of the time. For the light driving and daily commute though, it calms down enough. Still, as my average speed was 25mph for the last month (according to the tip computer) I can't help but think that it would be happier if it could stretch its legs. Sometimes I feel guilt. Like I'm trying to run a thoroughbred greyhound in a big city small apartment. Just simply not enough free space to drive the car like Kip W. and the GM performance group intended.

    I think mine usually says around 26.7 when it's the to and from work gig. HOWEVER it's the sprints in between that make up for it and help raise my average. That and the monkey boys in their G35s, SC430s and Mustang GTs (i've only ran one IS350, they're not common, mostly 250s)

    The IS-F is Lexus direct competitor(price and HP) with the V, not the IS350;

    I got to play with one on the Freeway a couple of days ago (his choice, not mine).

    No surprise, the V buried the Toyota.
