    2004 Cts Vs 1999 Sts

So me and my brother have raced a couple times and off the line he pulls ahead but we never have enough road to go the distance. I am wondering if you guys think in the long run the STS would prevail ?

As soon as you used the word VS this will kick this into another Forum.

3.2 or 3.6? The STS has a lot of baggage to haul but on the other end of the track the NorthStar might win. They had 2 HP ratings of the NorthStar. What does he have?

The CTS will barely win if both cars are showroom new. CTS 0-60 is 6.6, with a 15.0 second 1/4 mile. The STS is good for 6.8 0-60 and 15.1 in the 1/4. The Northstar is putting out more juice than the 3.6L, but the 4 speed and tall gearing (not to mention the weight) knock it down a peg.

Considering that the STS probably has more miles and is a little tired, I'd give it the CTS every time.
Rest in Peace, J.D. (aka Dirt_Cheap_Fleetwood)
