Question transmission just started "whining"...ideas?

in the last 2-3 weeks, my '01 catera's tranny has started a high-pitched whining sound. it's there @ idle and raises pitch w/ each gear, up and down with revs. like i said, it's a new sound. only 59K miles. no prior transmission work or issues to my knowledge.

wasnt the tranny.

just needed a new serpentine belt and tensioner.
