Alright so the past week or so its been quite cold in the memphis area and i began to notice that the battery voltage meter in the car was getting low. With the car in motion and the heat and stereo on the voltage would be about halfway up. When coming to a stop however it would drop almost completely all the way down. I also noticed it was taking longer and longer each day to crank in the morning time when i would leave for work and at the end of my work day (about 8 hrs long). This morning it wouldnt crank at all and I couldn't get it jumped off. Later on this evening another friend offered to jump me off after he dropped me off from work and after letting the cables sit on the battery for about 2 minutes it cranked right up. And the voltage meter on the car was again halfway up. This time when coming to a stop the gauge barely moved. I got the car to Autozone and they tested the battery and said it was okay it just needed to be charged up (i thought the alternator did this Lol) I went ahead and just purchased a new battery to be on the safe side but after driving around tonight i noticed the battery gauge beginning to barely fluxuate up and down again. Is some fluxuation normal, or should i prepare for this new battery to crap out on me pretty soon. Since installing the new battery my auto down feature on ALL my windows quit working How do I get this back????

some fluctuation is normal. it should be fine unless your alternator is bad and is not going to charge the battery.

you need to reset the windows. hold down the button until the window is fully open then hold down the button until the window is fully closed, continue to hold the button for about 5 secs after the window is fully closed. do this for each window. you might need to reset your sunroof if you have one too.
