Re: Wouldnt start

If you haven't sold it already and have found that on occasion it cranks but won't start have it coded. It will probably tell you that you have a Crankshaft Positioning Sensor malfunction. $70 at AutoZone.....$44 on E-Bay.

Re: Wouldnt start

In the year that I've had my Cat, this has happened to me once. I came out from a store, tried to start the car, it would turn over like it normally would, it just wouldn't start. I waited about 5 minutes and it started up fine and I haven't had this problem again. I've had at least 10 more, but not this one...lol. I just chalk it up to another Catera electronic glitch. Yours may or may not be the same thing, but I know there are quite a few things that happen with this car that go away whenever you turn the car off and back on again. In fact, I just ordered a Scangauge II just because my tranny light comes on sometimes. If I use my code scanner, I can turn the light off and it comes out of "limp home" mode qithout having to stop and restart the car. I can leave the Scangauge permanently attached and can reset it while driving. Just another thing I learned to make life livable with my Catera.
