Re: Jeff Po135 Bank 1 Sensor 1

there should just be an upstream and down stream O2

thats the way i've been on every car i've ever owned (ford, vw, mazda, and my CTSV)

no distinction left to right

hope that helps

btw...does your username mean you're either a maryland student or grad?

Re: Jeff Po135 Bank 1 Sensor 1

no there are left and right banks on the catera. there are 4 o2 sensors in all. 2 before the catalytic converters (1 left, 1 right) and 2 after the catalytic converters (1 left, 1 right). here is some information i found.
"Sensor 1 is before the catalytic converter. Sensor 2 is after. The Bank 1 & 2 refers to the left side and right side of the V-type engine separately. The Bank with the number 1 cylinder is always Bank 1, Bank 2 will start with cylinder #2 on your engine."
you'll have to figure out which side has cylinder 1 on it. ask Marks DTM Calib. he'll probably know

Re: Jeff Po135 Bank 1 Sensor 1

there will be at least one before and one after each cat

front (pre-cat)
rear(post cat)

the rear is usually the more expensive of the two

um, i would check advanced autoparts

i think there is one on greenbelt road up by the chevy's

i went to UMD, i was actually just up there for the ladies basketball game on sunday (graduated in 04)

GO TERPS

Re: Jeff Po135 Bank 1 Sensor 1

Go to rockauto.com. You can get an OEM part for a reasonable price (still over $100!). The non-GM ones may have to have wires spliced, etc. and many shops aren't willing to do that. You are better off with AC DELCO parts for this.

Also read this set of messages as I had the same problem on my 2000: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...=oxygen+sensor (Oxygen Sensor buying help - Code P0155)

Good luck
