I don't know. It's just something I found. It's basically an ignition advancer that tells the ECU to trigger the ignition earlier. I have a mechanical advancer on my bike that seems to give me a little punch at lower RPMs but since I haven't put her on a Dyno I can't say for sure.

During my welcomes to the Omega Owners Forum I was advised to get a Mtek Performance Chip. I went to the Mtek site but there was no detailed description explaining what it does.

Considering there's no interest from the American aftermarket I suggest searching the German and British suppliers. Pick the brains of our Opel/Vauxhall cousins. They've had the Omega around for longer than us and seen it evolve through different models from 1.8L 4 banger, to diesels, and V6s to finally the 3.2L LA3 V6. They know what works.

Did they mention if these are straight bold on replacement? or do you have the tweak out the assembly?
