Replaced battery now it cranks but wont start?

I replaced a bad baterry in my daughters 98 Catera, the 6 is turnig over good but appears to be no spark, it has gas and its getting air so what happend when I replaced the battery? is it easy to blow a fuse on these Catera's? Since I replaced the battery I have not heard the air pump runnig for the susspension and the alarm did not go off when I put the cable on the battery like it did with the old battery.
Common problem or did I screw up?

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I saw it on another post the other day but I thought it was too coincidental, maybe not. $50.00 on eBay so Iwill try it.
Thank you

very easy to do. find the connector up top then undo the screw. cut the old one because you will never get the old wire out with wasting your whole day.
