Catera Rag Top?

I was browsing ebay and came across a catera with a rag top. I have seen one before on the road and i like the look. My question is, is it possible to add the leather top to a 2000 cat?

If you mean a fake vinyl top that looks like a convert? Yes it is. Your local cad dealer might be able to get you in touch with one of the installers or check on line.

I've seen a few Cats here in Florida with the fake vinyl roofs. It is very popular with the WWII geriatric set. It doesn't look right on this car but you should be able to get it done if you want!

I've never seen a Cat convertible, if that's what you are asking.

They did make some Cateras with vinyl tops. They are few and far between. I've only seen a couple. Probably you could convert your existing Cat to vinyl top, but you are going to need metal some trim pieces in addition to the vinyl top itself.

If you Caddy dealer has the trim pieces, and has 'em in the right colour, they are going to cost a fortune.

might be the one you saw and it might not. If it is, I think that's a vinyl top.

Regardless, it's a pretty black over brown car. But the auction ad description left me laughing. What flowery writing!! Obviously the ad is written for folks who do not know Catera. What a hoot!

And in addition, this car appears to be a NORTHERN car which has seen a number of winters. It was sold at auction in FL only recently. Just proves the value of Autocheck and Carfax.

Im not looking to purchase a cat, I realy just want something to set my cat apart from others, besides my rims and system. I think i may just do a tone paint in the future, maybe a darker color over ther roof

I dont know though, i think a catera is set apart pretty far from the begining, there aint too many of em anymore, rims and a stero, i dont know, this isnt the type of attention id want...

I gotta agree with you. Cats are pretty much for old farts and women. That's mostly who buy 'em.

I'm the exception, I guess. I'm a young fart and not a woman, but I still like the Cateras. Guess it's the thought of going 140 MPH in a car that costs $1000! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

But regardless what I like it changes nothing. Cats are still for the geriatric set. The Cat cup holders are actually Geritol holders. That's why they always seemed a little dysfunctional as cup holders. You see, there's a reason for everything.
