The Monaro and Omega/Caterra share the same V platform chassis (note, this platform does support an amount of scaling and hence the different sizes) which has been developed from that used on the Senator and Carlton which came before the Omega.

Development Omegas were made with the quad cam V8 Northstar engine but, they never made production due to the recession hitting and cooling issues.

I would love to drop an LS1 or LS2 in an Omega witha nice 6 speed manual on it but, they are a bit hard to source over here!

Absolutely beautiful. Even without knowing what's under the hood, the grille, the airdam, vents, wheels, and red calipers announce that this is a special car. Congratulations.

Where did you purchase the side vents, and what all is needed to install? I like them and would like to add to my 2001 Sport. The more info the better! Thanks!

I purchased them on e bay, under bmw vents. Vent M tech by vertex racing-$87 +18 ship. You need to cut holes in your fenders. A template is supplied. You must go slow and easy because the hole must be very accurate. No times posted. It would fall between a stock C6 and the new ZO-6.
