I have a '99 Catera with Bose. I tried to have an aftermarket CD installed but the harness that was supposed to work didn't then said there Tech. company doesn't even make a harness. Also, my car wouldn't start without my stock HU.
So i either have to replace the whole system, which costs some money, or find a way to use ipod with stock deck.
I do have a standard plug for a ipod that has RCA connections, and i read something about plugging into the CD changer. Is that an RCA connection and where is it?
Guess i'll have to settle for a LOC for the rest of the sound system.
you have a few options i have stock bose with tape player and use the tape adaptor you must balance volume of both ipod and radio for best sound I put volume about 3/4 up on ipod and turn up car radio to as loud as it sounds good some songs u may need to turn ipod down to 1/2 volume there is also a rca convertor so u can hook up rca cables to ipod and radio im very happy with sound quality of tape adaptor its around $12much better than fm transmitters ipod car charger and tape adaptor is a great set up
