Speaker wire re-run

Hey,

I am thinking of installing an aftermarket headunit and i was told that i need to re run all speaker wires. Just trying to see if any one had done this before i take the plung. also the only thing i no that aftermarket headunit wont work for is that int he catera there in no remote turn on wire to the amp in our cars. Do you think if i run a power wire to the amp it self then i can bypass the re-run of wires. The headunit will have power and then should work. Cause our amps are computer controled turn on to get power to the speakers.

Any one have any advice please let me know.
