Intake manifold gasket

Hello:
I have read many 97 Catera valve cover gasket replacement stories, but I haven't read that the intake manifold was removed and the gasket replaced.
Can the job be done without removing the intake?
If the intake is removed, doesn't the gasket need to be replaced?

The seals on the Catera upper intake are reusable O-ring type seals.
The lower gasket can be reused also but I am not sure if the lower intake needs to be removed to service the cam covers.
