I've just purchased a 1997 Catera with apparant cooling system problems. This is an unusual layout for an engine. No good shop repair manuals in posession yet, any good suggestions?

The only thing now is the spider gears in the Differential are FUBAR. and a tree limb fell on the hood a week after the Diff. went out... so im Dyi on the diff. as soon as i get some spec and maybe a Diagram so i have something to reference. and after that im going to look into a more custom design of a hood. i was thinking carbon fiber. but i havent found any one that has one.

So if any one has any specific info on the Differential that would be great. i want to know how deep the shit is before i stick my hand in it.
