Fuel pump replacement?

Anyone with a shop manual or Catera experience have any info on replacing the fuel pump?

Mainly...will i need to drop the tank, or is there an access panel beneath the seats or trunk area?

Also...before i dive into this I'd like to check the fuel pressure...is there a recomended place to attach a pressure guage?

You will have to drop the tank but it's easy.

First remove the tank protective beam(thick stamped steel member that goes around the back and side of the tank and is meant to protect it in case of a collision). Don't even bother removing the tank until the beam is out.

Than just undo the 2 straps that hold the tank and slide it out.

Takes no time at all.
