Courtesy Light Problem - 2001 Non-Sport

Up until a few days ago, the map lights (above the rear view mirror)
would illuminate when ever a door was opened (as well as the lights on
the doors themselves). Well, that doesn't happen anymore. The map
lights still work when they are manually turned on, but they won't
work as courtesy lights anymore. The door lights still come on when
the doors are opened, though. I've checked all the fuses, and there
were no bad ones. Any ideas what else it could be? The pushbutton
switch inside the door frame works fine ... pushes in and out like
ti's supposed to, and also still controls the door lights. Couldit be
a relay? Id so, anyone know which to check? Any thoughts would be
appreciated!

Those lights are also under computer control, in addition to the manual switches, I mean.

Why not try disconnecting and then (after a few minutes) reconnecting the battery.

I'll give that a try, after I check the bulbs. Someone else thought the map lights and courtesy light were different bulbs, even though they are in the same fixture. If that's the case, it may just be a burnt out bulb. I'll check it in the morning.

Thanks!

Yes, of course, I agree with your thinking.

Please let us know how this comes out for you, and

Good Luck!
