Talking o2 Problem Solved?!

Well... i came back a third time and with a stern attitude told the manager what happened. Phone call about a full day later, seems as if the o2 sensors (especially on the manifold, where they were getting the code from) can be triggered wrong if the fuel system is dirty... they went through and cleaned everything out. Started up, ran rough for a few minutes ... and then mid-range home... It livened up . Put atleast 40 miles on it so far this week, it runs smoother and seems more responsefull than it was before. Oh Joy. Im thinking the problem is, because this car runs on Premium only... the dealer salesmen filled the tank up before i purchased the car- and probably put some crappy low grade into it. Soon i filled it up with Premium for the week and "dirt" must have been making it give false codes. Reguardless, it works now... and works great if i may add.

Lets just hope and pray it keeps this momentum up!

WOOHOO!!! Glad you got it going....

Did they give the car a pressurized fuel rail flush or what?? bad gas would certainly mess things up like that!!!!!

Angry Re: O2 Problem Solved?!

Haha-hahaha---aaaah!!! Im pissed off now!!

No, apparently it wasnt fixed... light came on again, starts rough sometimes now... im reallly mad. I love the car, but the dealer techs are screwing me 'round and round again. I sent them a letter threatining to tear up the loan agreement, and getting a lawyer if they dont take/fix the car. I took the car back, letting them have it for about a week this time. Think its fixed? Drive it for 40+ miles (my permission) and if the light comes back on again... go back at it. NOT a good thing to do to a guy!

Plus, if i were to take it to a cadillac dealer id get a giant bill for just diagnosing the same problem this dealer has probably been getting! I really hope this car is not a lemon, it was perfect the first week I had it.. even made a long trip to Daytona from Jacksonville with it and no Check Engine light.
