Question Catera Heater problem

I have a 1998 Catera that is giving me heater problems. On the drivers side there is plenty of heat - the blower works well and the air is well heated. However, on the passenger side the blower works great but the air is very cold. I have the shop manuals but find that without the shop test equipment they don't do much good. Can anyone tell me hos to start on this problem? Winter is just getting started here and it tends to last a long time therefore a good heater system is manditory.

Thanks Doug

Re: Catera Heater problem

What happens when you split the heat controls and set the passenger side temperature setpoint up to max? Do you hear the passanger side heater mixing valve motor ticking to an different position?

Re: Catera Heater problem

My 97 Cat is the exact opposite...well heated on the passenger side but I freeze as the driver...this doesn't make sense
