1999 Cadillac Catera Speedometer and Tachometer not working

So I had the typical Catera failures... radio wouldn't work all the time, lighter wouldn't work, no trunk or fuel door... So I climbed up under the dash and replaced that little gray box that fixes those problems. That was about 3 months ago. Well about 2 months ago the speedometer and tachometer started acting up. The tachometer randomly stops and sits at zero and the speedometer will bounce or flicker between 0 and 3 MPH. Nothing else is effected. I'm not losing abs or traction control not dash lights come on. Any ideas? I have been on other threads but it usually includes abs or other issues. Any ideas will be great!
